From Classical to Cinema

Duo series by violinist Yukino Nakazoe and pianist Rina Saito. In this performance titled "From Classical to Cinema," the violin and piano ensemble will present the plaintive sounds of classical music and the haunting melodies of film music. Through a dialogue of sound between these two talented artists from the Tokyo University of the Arts, this program will allow the audience to fully appreciate the rich story of each piece of music. In the serene setting of the Nihonbashi Piano Hall, you will be able to enjoy at an intimate distance a number of masterpieces that have transcended time and genre. We hope you will enjoy the fresh and rich musical experience of this collaboration between two musicians who are active as soloists, chamber musicians, and in a wide range of media.

Yukino Nakazoe
Born in Sapporo. After graduating from Tokyo Metropolitan High School of Arts, she graduated from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music.
She was selected as the best student at the Asahikawa-Wien International Violin Seminar and received a scholarship to the Mozarteum Music University Summer International Music Academy. Received the Asahikawa Newcomer Music Award. Highest prize in the general section of the Osaka International Music Competition. Participated in the Olivieto Music Festival in Italy as a soloist.
She has appeared on NHK's "Challenge to the Greats," "La La La Classic," "Classic TV," Nittele's "Reversal Orchestra," and others. She has participated in stage performances and recordings by TBS "VIVANT", "Kururi", Shinji Tanimura, Sayuri Ishikawa, Ayaka Hirahara, and others.
Currently, as a freelance violinist, she performs a wide range of classical music.

Rina Saito
Born in Sendai City. She graduated from the Music High School attached to the Faculty of Music of Tokyo Grandmother University of the Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts, and the Master's Course of the Graduate School of Music of Tokyo University of the Arts, and gave a solo recital at "Tokyo University of the Arts Excellent. She completed her master's degree at the University of Music and Performing Arts Freiburg, Germany, with the highest honors.
She won many prizes at national and international competitions, including the 33rd Città di Cantù International Piano Competition and the 2nd Prize at the 9th Città di Sandona di Piave International Piano Competition, and appeared on NHKE Television's "Classic TV".
She released her debut album "L'aube" in February 2026. In addition to performing as a soloist and chamber musician, she is actively posting performance videos on her YouTube channel "Lina's Piano Salon. Currently resides in Berlin.
