A new production of the music play "Mr. Simigdari: The Princess with the Iron Shoes and the Prince of Wheatmeal," based on a Greek folk tale. With a gem of a melody by music director Takashi Aragaki, the play depicts the story of Princess Ilya, who puts on iron shoes and sets off to save her loved one, whom she created herself. The cast includes such talented performers as Akira Tashiro, Atsushi Okubo, and Hitomi Tsukikage, and the stage is decorated with the music of a piano trio featuring Moenoka Kishimoto (violin) and Fumie Kato (cello). The performance will be a luxurious experience for the first time at the theater, featuring masterpieces by Beethoven and Haydn, as well as newly written music by Takashi Aragaki.
