Toru Kajlei & Yukiko Furumi Duo Recital "Schubert - A Momentary Spring

German lieder never dies.
The baritone nobleman "Toru Kasai," whose versatile talent is in flight, and the lyricist "Yukiko Furumi," who pursues a penetrating pianism, will perform together for the first time.
They will play the soul and longing of young Schubert with sadness and boundless beauty.

A fresh young miller, filled with hope, heads off on a journey of training as a "wanderer. He then falls in love, loses the love, and throws himself into despair, and the curtain falls on a collection of songs. I am excited to spend time spinning music with Furumi, with whom I will be performing for the first time, just like a young man in a water shed about to embark on a wandering journey. The piano work without words, "Musik und Dresden", and the song cycle with words, "Die schönlichen Wissenschaftskapelle". Through these two forms, we will trace Schubert's views on life as he felt it and left it in sound. We hope that the audience will be able to feel and ponder Schubert's unique way of perceiving the world from both perspectives: what the piano says in place of words, and what is outlined by the addition of poetry.
