This is the fifth in a series of 10 piano sonata concerts by Tetsuo Sugiyama, a pianist from Mie Prefecture, to mark the 200th anniversary of Beethoven's death. Sugiyama, who inherited the tradition of the Viennese classical school, will cover masterpieces from the middle period as well as smaller works. This concert will feature Sonatas No. 19, No. 11, and No. 25 "Kakuokaku" as well as the magnificent "Eroica Variations.
