Tokai Baroque Project Chamber Music Series 2026 Baroque No.2

Chamber Music Series 2026 by Tokai Baroque Project, an ancient music group based in the Tokai region.
The third series will portray Bach not as a great man, but as a human being through his music. He turns his heart to God, creates music, and prays. As a father, he was involved with his family, as a teacher, he guided his students, and as a diligent worker, he devoted himself to his work.

There will be two performances, one at 14:00 and the other at 19:00.

The second performance, "Connecting," will focus on Bach's sons and disciples, tracing the tradition he established and how it has been handed down.
The spirit and music of Johann Sebastian Bach were passed on to new eras by his family and disciples, and continued to live on despite changes.

The instrumental ensemble depicts the warmth and sincerity of Bach's music as it is passed on to the next generation.
Please enjoy a special moment to contemplate the life of J.S. Bach through the delicate and rich sounds of ancient instruments. The elegant and warm tones of these ancient instruments will beautifully decorate the intimate space of HITOMI Hall.

As in the previous year, we will also be accepting requests for a piece of music.
One piece will be chosen from among the submissions and performed at the concert.
Please let us know the reason for your choice and any episodes you may have.
Please send your request to Tokai Baroque Project at least two months before each performance🎵.
