The "Tofukikai" is an organization of alumni and former members of the Waseda University Cheering Section Brass Band, who volunteer to form a brass band and perform together. Participants range in age from their 20s to 80s, and enjoy intergenerational exchange. The main activities of the brass band are performances at events related to the Waseda University Inamonkai and regular concerts held in winter and spring.
The concert will feature four works by Alfred Reed, the "God of Wind Band," including "Jerusalem Hymn" and "The Hound of Spring," as well as the ballet "Coppelia," the movie "New Cinema Paradise," and many other famous pieces loved beyond time and genre. We hope you will enjoy the colorful sounds that only a brass band can provide. We look forward to seeing you at the concert.
