Orchestra Moderne Tokyo

Orchestra Moderne Tokyo is now in its seventh concert. Thanks to the members and the audience, we have been able to create a wonderful Moderne sound.
　We have prepared a program that will demonstrate the Moderne's policy of performing modern and contemporary works and symphonies. Bartók's "The Wonderful Chinese Official" is one of the greatest masterpieces of the 20th century, which is very difficult to perform. It brutally depicts the realism in the human mind. Mahler Symphony No. 1 "The Giant" is an autobiography of the young Mahler's mind, and this program, which we consider "inside the mind" to be the theme, will stir emotions in your heart. Incidentally, the first piece we will perform, the overture to Czech Smetana's opera "The Sold Bride," is a super favorite of Czech-born conductor Mahler. It is said that the overture's introduction is quoted in the fourth movement of the First Symphony, which will be performed this time. So, please come to "Kita-Topia".
