Isao Saito, a leading guitarist; Kazuya Sato, a shinobue player and composer; Risa Minami, a world champion chromatic harmonica player; and Yoshimi Tsujimoto, a shakuhachi player active on the world stage. This is a miraculous stage performance by the "SSMT Special Quartet," a group of top artists active on the front lines of their respective fields, specially formed for this performance. The unique ensemble of guitar, shinobue (bamboo flute), harmonica, and shakuhachi (bamboo flute) will create a fresh sound that blends the Japanese and the Western, the traditional and the modern. The ensemble will perform a variety of melodies loved by all generations, including the Showa-era classics "Aisansan" and "Kita no Tabibito" and the emotional "Song of Lake Biwa Circumnavigation," all performed live with piano and bass.
