Introduction of Narashino City Daiichi Junior High School Orchestra Club
Established in 1950 as "Ensemble Club". At first, it was mainly a reed ensemble with accordions and other instruments, but it gradually expanded into a wind, string, and percussion ensemble and was renamed the "Orchestra Club" in 1954, and has continued to this day. With the support of the local community, the club has participated in national-level competitions for many years and is also actively involved in local performances. This year, the orchestra performed "Symphony No. 2 in E minor, Op. 27" at the Japan School Ensemble Contest and the TBS Children's Music Contest, and won the "Grand Prize, Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award" at the National Grand Contest of the School Ensemble Contest and the "Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award" in the Second Division for Junior High School Students and Ensemble at the TBS Children's Music Contest. He also won the "Grand Prize, Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award" for viola in the solo division of the Japan School Ensemble Contest Solo & Ensemble Contest.
