George Haryono, an up-and-coming pianist who won the second prize at the 17th International Tchaikovsky Competition in 2023, will appear in Takasaki. Conducted by master conductor Kazumasa Watanabe, and accompanied by the Gunma Symphony Orchestra, the pride of the local Gunma community, the concert will feature two of the most popular concertos in classical music in one evening. The program will consist of Tchaikovsky's first concerto, with its grand opening, and Rachmaninoff's second concerto, with its melancholy melody and profound piano sound that will move the heart.
