Turan, a folk music ensemble from Kazakhstan in Central Asia, will make its long-awaited debut in Japan. The members are five young talented musicians who freely play Kazakh folk instruments. In addition to the sounds of traditional instruments such as the Dombra and Kobuz, they will perform "Khomy," a traditional singing style in which one person plays multiple tones at the same time. The audience will be able to enjoy the unique sound world that is a fusion of the ancient spirit of the nomadic people and modern sensibilities.
