Aristo Shamu is a young pianist who has captured the world's attention by winning both the highest gold medal and the Audience Prize at the 2025 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition.
The New York Times called his performance "a performance of clarity, elegance, and virtuosity," and another review said, "Noble--that was the adjective that kept coming to mind as I listened to him play. The musicality that captivated both critics and audiences can be described as the ideal form of contemporary pianism.

After receiving his B.A. from Harvard University in 2019 and his M.M. from the New England Conservatory of Music in 2020, he continued his studies at the Ingessund Conservatory in Sweden, followed by an Artist Diploma from the Juilliard School.

This is Aristo Shamu's long-awaited first performance in Japan. Please come and experience the "now" of this world-renowned talent at the concert venue.
