Chinatsu Takeda began playing the violin at the age of four under the tutelage of her grandmother, who was a pupil of Anna Ono, the founder of the Japanese female violinists, and later studied with the late violinist Nobu Wakabayashi and others.
In 2007, while still a student at the Tokyo College of Music, she became a founding member of the women's string quartet BloomQuartet, and in 2009, as the leader of the women's string ensemble BloomQuartet & Ensemble, she played violin and viola, making her debut at the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan.
