In commemoration of the 160th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Italy and Japan, the third installment of the "Pickup Harpist Series" will be held to shed light on a specific premiere harpist. This time, we will focus on the famous Italian harpist Clelia Gatti Aldrovandi and unravel the gems of works she was involved with. The music of composers such as Nino Rota, Hindemith, and Castelnuovo-Tedesco, who lived through the turbulent period of two world wars, will be bridged through the harp instrument. Anju Sato's lecture based on her in-depth research will be beautifully combined with a spectacular ensemble of elite players active in Japan and abroad. This is a special opportunity to celebrate the long friendship between Japan and Italy, and to enjoy to the full the virtuous sound of the harp as a prayer for peace.
