2026/05/03(su.) 14:00 Starting
The New National Ballet Company presents Marius Petipa's last masterpiece, "Raimonda". This sumptuous ballet picture scroll set during the medieval Crusades is vividly revived with careful direction and choreography by Asami Maki and impressive art and costumes by Luisa Spinatelli. The love story of the heroine Raimonda, played by Miho Naotsuka, and Jean de Brienne, played by Shogo Hayami, unfolds to the lyrical and sparkling music by Alexandre Glazunov. The Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Minori Tomita, will perform five variations, a dream scene, and exotic folk dances.
