2026/04/29(We.) 13:00 Starting
The New National Ballet Company presents "Raimonda," a classical ballet considered to be Marius Petipa's last masterpiece. Set in the time of the Crusades in the Middle Ages, the ballet is carefully choreographed and directed by Asami Maki, with colorful artwork by Luisa Spinatelli, creating a world of prestige and splendor. Miho Naotsuka as Raimonda and Shogo Hayami as Jean de Brienne perform highly technical and gorgeous dances to the lyrical music by Alexandre Glazunov. Conducted by Minori Tomita and performed by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, the audience will be able to enjoy to their heart's content the five variations of the heroine, the group dances of the dream scene, and the passionate folk dances, all of which are the charm of ballet.
