TrioAR will present a rare concert that fuses the ancient and modern "hue" of the recorder, shakuhachi, and flute. The world-renowned musicians Toshiya Suzuki, Naoshi Tajima, and Yue Ueno will come together to explore the possibilities of contemporary music. The program includes a flute solo by Toshio Hosokawa, a memorial performance of "Automatic Sketches" in memory of Michion Matsunaga, who passed away in 2025, the premiere of a new work commissioned by Hitomi Kaneko, and works by up-and-coming young composers Kaito Nakahori, Kenri Hiroba and Jean Eamon. How will the individuality of the composers be expressed through the fusion, contrast, and competition of three different instruments? We invite you to experience the essence of contemporary music in the richly resonant space of Yodobashi Church.
