Daikanyama BLOOM Festival Instrument Workshop Unofficial

Violinist Chiharu Taki and stringed instrument craftsman Kiyoo Iwasaki will join us for a special workshop to experience up close the miracle of violin making. Through demonstrations of the production process, historical introductions, and actual performances, visitors will be able to physically feel the soul that resides in the instrument and its vibrations. This is a rare opportunity to learn about the process by which a single piece of wood comes to life and to actually touch a musical instrument. Enjoy an inspiring time of music and craftsmanship for children and adults alike. Visitors will unravel the history of the violin from its origins to the present day, and experience the instrument as a living, breathing organism.
