This is the memorable premiere of a new work, "Choral Fable (Opera) Kodomo Rakugo," created by the powerful tag team of director/playwright Sunao Kato and composer Takatomi Nobunaga. The "Chorus Fable (Urebito) Koekarada" was born from the laboratory conceived by Fumiaki Kuriyama, music director of the Kuriyukai, and after three years of study, the fruits of its labor are now being carved on the stage. A familiar yet profound story based on rakugo (traditional Japanese comic storytelling) will be performed with rich singing voices, creative physical expression, and beautiful stage design.
