The World of Takehisa Yumeji: A Dream Fantasy Told with Koto and Shakuhachi Performances Unofficial

This is a special opportunity to unravel the life of Yumeji Takehisa, a symbolic artist of the Taisho Romantic era, through gems of traditional Japanese music performance and storytelling. Performers include Shinichiro Takemoto, an experienced storyteller and former member of the theater troupe Advanceza; Eizan Yoshikoshi, a shakuhachi player who studied under a living national treasure and is active in Japan and abroad; and Taisei Yoshikoshi, a koto player who has won numerous awards in competitions. The performance will be accompanied by masterpieces such as "Butterfly" by Michio Miyagi and "Tabiji" by Masamine Nomura, and will present Yumeji's poetic worldview in a richly emotional manner.
