In 2026, the New Japan Symphony Orchestra will celebrate its 60th anniversary. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all those who support our orchestra and make it possible for us to celebrate our 60th anniversary.
The 116th Subscription Concert, the first of the 60th Anniversary Commemorative Events, will feature masterpieces by Beethoven and Sibelius under the theme of "A Concert Created with the Teachers Who Have Helped Us". The conductor will be Yuri Nitta, with whom we have worked together since our first collaboration at the 87th Regular Concert, and the soloists will be Yasunao Ishida, with whom we performed together at the 103rd Regular Concert, and Hiroaki Sakata, who is also our trainer.
We hope that we can share "this moment" with you, the audience, with the feelings of the past 60 years on these masterpieces.
