After the overture "Coriolan" ends in the tragic and dark atmosphere of C minor, as if another world opens up, the bright and beautiful music of "Jupiter" in C major resounds.
The second half is Brahms' Symphony No. 1. The first movement begins with an undulating, heavy melody in C minor and ends brilliantly in C major when it reaches the fourth movement.
