The Century Japan Symphony Orchestra Triumphal Return Concert Unofficial

In 2025, pianist Wataru Hisasue, who won the second prize at the Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition, the highest prize ever awarded to a Japanese pianist, as well as the Shiga Prefecture Culture Prize and the Otsu City Special Culture Prize, will give a long-awaited triumphant commemorative performance in his hometown, Shiga. The concert will be conducted by Tetsuro Saka, Artistic Director of Biwako Hall, and will be performed with the Century Orchestra of Japan. The program will consist of all Brahms pieces, with the first half featuring a selection of masterpieces from the colorful Hungarian Dances and the second half featuring the Piano Concerto No. 1, a work of exquisite technique and deep emotion by Wataru Hisasue, which will be a great pleasure to listen to.
