Quasi-Merkle String Lending Project Presentation Unofficial
Fifth graders showcase their achievements
2026/03/20(Fr.) 14:00 Starting
Concert Hall ATM, Art Tower Mito (Ibaraki)
Official https://www.arttowermito.or.jp/hall/lineup/article_4732.html
This is a project in which valuable string instruments donated by world-renowned conductor Quasi-Merkle are loaned free of charge to young performers associated with Ibaraki Prefecture who are under 30 years of age. This is a special presentation of the results of three years of study with the loaned instruments by the six artists selected as the fifth class of the project. The program is varied and challenging, ranging from Khachaturian's passionate concerto to Saint-Saens' brilliant Rondo and Rachmaninoff's sonata played on the viola. We hope you will enjoy the passionate performances by the fresh talents who will lead the future of classical music at the beautifully resonant hall of Art Tower Mito, where they will bring out the best of the sound of the famous instruments and weave their fresh sensitivity. This is a rare opportunity to encounter the brilliant young musicians who are taking flight into the future.
