Aichi Chamber Orchestra The 98th Regular Concert

Dutch master Hubert Sudern will return to the podium of the Aichi Chamber Orchestra. Sudern, who has made a great contribution to the Japanese music world as Music Director of the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra for many years, will present a program of masterpieces by Grieg and Schumann. In Grieg's piano concerto, the soloist will be Tomomiki Kitamura, a local Aichi Prefecture musician who has developed his own unique musical world, depicting the lyrical world of Northern Europe. The second half will feature Schumann's Symphony No. 1 "Spring" in Mahler's version, with some orchestration modifications. This is a repertoire in which Sudern excels, and we can expect a performance that expresses the joy and emotion of spring in abundance.
