Pilgrim's Progress: Tracing Beethoven and Liszt with Tomoki Sakata, Part 2 Unofficial

Pianist Tomoki Sakata will continue his "Pilgrim's Progress" series, tracing the musical paths of Beethoven and Liszt. This performance will feature a very sophisticated arrangement of Berlioz's masterpiece by Liszt for piano. With viola player Yoshiko Kawamoto as a guest, the concert will feature a piano and viola version of Liszt's arrangement of "Harold in Italia," a well-known symphony with solo viola. In addition, they will perform "Symphonie fantastique," which shines with Liszt's arrangement technique. Sakata's superb technique to reproduce the sound of an orchestra on a single piano and the close ensemble with virtuoso pianist Kawamoto are a must-see.
