<Profile of Kanon Wada
Born in Kamakura City, Kanagawa Prefecture. After attending the Music High School attached to the Faculty of Music of Tokyo University of the Arts and Tokyo University of the Arts, she completed the master's course at the Graduate School of Music of Tokyo University of the Arts.
Currently, in addition to her solo performance activities, she judges competitions and performs as an accompanist and co-starring artist.
He also supervises and administers the "Music Proficiency Test" by the Japan Music Association and promotes solfege studies, and has been expanding opportunities for exchange with music lovers in the "Forest Common Room," a music community he established in 2025.
While still a student, she has been searching for ways to express herself as a performer, and has given "solo recitals" in which she expresses her feelings and thoughts in the form of concerts, and the "Entrance to Classical Music" series in which she introduces masterpieces with her unique interpretation and friendly commentary, which have been well received.
She has won numerous prizes in competitions, including the second prize at the 23rd Tokyo Music Competition and the first prize at the 9th Enschede International Piano Competition for Young Musicians held in the Netherlands.
He was awarded the Ryohei Miyata Prize at Tokyo University of the Arts, and performed with the Philharmonia Orchestra of the University of the Arts at the Morning Concert for students with outstanding academic achievements. He has also performed with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra.
She has studied with Reiko Takeuchi, Kyoko Hayashi, the late Nobuyoshi Kato, Masataka Takada, and Seizo Azuma.
He is currently a part-time lecturer at the Department of Piano at Tokyo University of the Arts.
