Madoka Fukami, a Kyoto native and active musician based in France and Japan, will perform all of Toru Takemitsu's piano works on the 30th anniversary of his death. In Part 1, she will perform Chopin's 24 Preludes and the world premiere of a new work by Kenji Sakai, commissioned by the Kyoto Prefectural Hall of the People. In the second and third parts, the complete piano works including Takemitsu's unfinished works will be performed. The second and third sections will trace Takemitsu's piano world, encompassing small pieces from different eras.
