Kobe Citizen's Symphony Orchestra The 87th Subscription Concert

The 87th Regular Concert will feature Tchaikovsky Symphony No. 5 and Grieg's Piano Concerto with pianist Yuko Hisamoto under the direction of Kinya Fujita, the orchestra's conductor, with whom we have been creating music for many years.

The conductor and members of the ensemble breathe in unison, which is fostered through weekly rehearsals under the same conductor as in the actual performance.
The Tchaikovsky Symphony No. 5, in which that breathing becomes music as it is, is sure to be a performance that will be a rewarding mix of tension and exuberance.

In the second half, Grieg's Piano Concerto, Yuko Kugen's fresh piano and the orchestra will interact to vividly depict the lyrical world of Northern Europe.

These two masterpieces, with their familiar melodies and deep drama, will be presented with the breadth of sound that only a live concert can provide.
