The Pitina Piano Competition is one of the largest piano competitions in the world, boasting a total of approximately 40,000 participant pairs (from preliminary to nationwide).
The levels range from A2 (pre-school) to special, from beginner to advanced for four hands, and so on.
The winners' commemorative concert is held every year in March, where the winners showcase their progress over the last half year of winning the prize. The prizewinners who perform are the top two to five groups in the nation for each level, providing an opportunity to enjoy the top talents of each generation in Japan at one time.
Past grand prizewinners such as Hayato Kakuno, Seiya Kamei, and Aimi Suzuki have also experienced this stage as winners of other classes in the past, and later returned as grand prizewinners of the special class.
We hope that you will enjoy the winners' commemorative concert as a place to discover new talents and as a goal to participate in the competition.
