DerPosaunenChor Yokohama (a.k.a. Posaunen) will be holding its 26th Trombone Banquet this year.
The highlight of this year's event will be the performance of "Jupiter" from Holst's "The Planets" by the trombone octet...but is there a hint of Mars somewhere in the distance? We will be performing a famous arrangement by Mr. Masaki Imana, which was published this year.
In the quartet, the usual fathers will take on the challenge of a difficult bourgeois trombone quartet! And a new member, a young college student! The quartet will perform the famous Apon quartet with a new member, a young college student!
As in previous years, Pozaunen has been exploring new repertoire! Zilk's "Gesching Game" is a time machine that mimics various classical music forms of the past, and Moriah's "Song of Hope" is gaining popularity in the brass world. The concert will feature pieces that are likely to become part of the repertoire of trombone ensembles in the future.
You don't need to know any trombone music! The second part of the concert will be a la carte, featuring familiar favorites such as Ikimono-gakari, Southern, and Kamie Hirose. We will also welcome a piano player for the first time, and a bass trombone duet will perform "Hear the Call of Spring".
This year will be Pozaunen's first Ebina party, and we hope you will all come and join us!
