Primo Passo Orchestra 25th Concert

25th Concert

2026/02/23(mo.) 14:00 Starting

Nagaokakyo Memorial Cultural Hall, KyotoKyoto

Official http://ppo.g1.xrea.com/index.html

Primo Passo Orchestra was founded in Kyoto in 2006, and thanks to your support, we are celebrating our 20th anniversary. We are an amateur orchestra whose motto is "to love music without forgetting our original intention, and to continue our activities while valuing communication among players and between players and conductor.
We will present three pieces that are the essence of German-Austrian music.
The curtain opens with Beethoven's "Coriolan Overture. It is a dramatic work filled with a sense of tension, depicting the conflict and fate of a hero. Next is Haydn Symphony No. 104 "London". It is the last symphony composed by Haydn, the father of the symphony, during his stay in London, and has a full structure, bright sound, and folk song-like melody. And the main piece is Brahms Symphony No. 4. Brahms reached a state of isolation, deep passion, constructive beauty, and a stunning passacaglia in the last movement. The entire orchestra will be sincerely devoted to this immortal masterpiece, which is a condensation of the romanticism of his later years.
We will present a number of masterpieces of classical music with our unique ensemble, which has been creating music together with our colleagues for the past 20 years since its establishment. We look forward to seeing you at the concert.
