Ensemble Lira 2nd Concert

Ensemble Lilas is a group of amateur string players in Tokyo, formed by a group of friends who became acquainted through orchestral activities. The name of the group, Lilas, is the French name of the lilac flower that heralds the arrival of spring and blooms from April to June, and the words of the flower are "friendship" and "memories. We named the group "Lilas" with the hope that through the string ensemble, we will deepen our bonds with friends who enjoy music together and accumulate memories. We share a common love of music, and we cherish that love and respect each other at all times as we work to create expressive music with the resonance that only string music can provide.
In the 2nd concert, the group will challenge Bloch's "Concerto Grosso No. 1" with piano accompaniment by Yasuhiro Komori, the group's conductor. It is a rare opportunity to hear the piece played by a pianist. We hope you will enjoy it with the masterpieces by Finzi and Dvorak. We are looking forward to seeing you at the concert.
