Taleia Quartet's 2nd Subscription Concert!
In December 2024, the Taleia Quartet completed a concert of the complete works of Bartók in one day, which increased their confidence and sense of mission in 20th century music. In their 2nd subscription concert, the quartet will focus on Dvořák's "America," the most popular string quartet, and works by Dvořák's fellow Czech, Bohuslav Martineau (1890-1959). Vibrant rhythms and intoxicating Czech flavors appear and disappear.
<Taleia Quartet Message
It has been 12 years since the formation of the Taleia Quartet. We are pleased to announce our long-awaited second regular concert. The theme of this year's concert is "Dancing and Running: Spring in Taleia.
Starting with Mozart's profound "Adagio and Fugue," the quartet will perform "America" by Dvořák, a representative Czech composer, and Martinů's String Quartets No. 3 and 4. The quartet will also perform Martinů's String Quartets No. 3 and No. 4.
We hope you will enjoy the program, which is colored with butoh rhythms and passionate vibrancy.
We look forward to seeing you at the concert!
