About "MaNGROVE

Miho Hazama (composer/arranger) has been selected as one of the "25 Jazz Artists for the Future" by DownBeat magazine and one of the "100 Most Respected Japanese in the World" by Newsweek Japan. Chiharu Taki (violinist) has won first prize at numerous international competitions, including the Yehudi Menuhin International Competition, and continues to perform at the top of her game as a soloist and concertmaster of overseas orchestras. These two jazz and classical musicians of the next generation have teamed up to form a new project called "MaNGROVE".
Transcending the boundaries of genres, the two passionate musicians are looking beyond the boundaries of genres to create "music for those who live in the present, for those who live in the present".
It is not a jazz artist trying classical music, nor a classical musician trying jazz. The collaboration of jazz and classical cannot be described in such flimsy terms.
