The choir was founded in 1967 by conductor Shoji Moroi, who was awarded the Order of Cultural Merit Janacek by the Czech government in 1979, and in 1983 the choir was invited to perform in the Czech Republic for the first time.
In 2012, Shoji Moroi passed away, and Toshihiko Nakamura, the group's pianist at the time, has taken over as conductor and chorus leader, leading the group to its 53rd subscription concert.

We hope that we will be able to express to the fullest extent the results we have achieved thus far, and that our performance will convey our passion for music to everyone. We would like to express our deepest gratitude for the generous support we have received for our activities, and we look forward to your continued guidance and encouragement in the future.
Once again, we will ask the Embassy of the Czech Republic, the Czech Republic-Japan Society, and the Slovakia-Japan Society for their support.
