Music of Wales" Pianist Ayaka Yonemoto Solo Recital

Ajisai Hall Concert Series Opening Ceremony

A special performance will be held at Ajisai Hall on December 6, 2025 to commemorate the opening of the Seaside Hotel Maiko Villa Kobe Hydrangea Hall concert series, which will begin in April 2026.

As a project in collaboration with "The Year of Wales and Japan 2025" campaign by the government of Wales, which aims for further friendship and development between Japan and Wales, Taku Minamide, a creator and music producer from Kobe who grew up in Wales (producer of Ajisai Hall), will present a special performance by pianist Yonemoto Ayamasa, who was born and raised in Wales. Pianist Ayaka Yonemoto will present a solo recital of "Music of Wales". Morfid Owen (1891-1918) was a Welsh composer of genius who was expected to revolutionize Welsh music in the 20th century but died at the age of 26. This solo recital features the works of this genius female composer and others, which are rarely performed in Japan.
