In this concert, composer/pianist shezoo will perform "John Passion 2025 - Dialogue of Silence," a reworking of Bach's "John Passion" from a new perspective by rearranging the poetry and music. Four singers will appear as "angels" and weave fragmentary "voiceless voices" through recitation and song. A serene ensemble of violins, flutes, cellos, tubas, and organs will support the space between poetry and silence. The audience will be invited to experience a "boat ride" in the midst of the echoes, and to listen intently to their own inner voices. This is music, a prayer, and a response to the voiceless world.
