Graduated from Tokyo College of Music with a major in piano performance. While a student, she received a scholarship. She also studied at the Guildhall School of Music in England as a short-term scholarship student. She won the Gold Prize at the Aichi Piano Competition, the Honorable Mention at the All Japan Music Competition for High School Students in Tokyo, and the Jury's Special Prize at the Shimoda International Music Competition. Performed in the Piano Performers' Course Concerts for Students with Superior Achievements, and gave solo recitals. Studied under Emiko Harimoto and Hitoko Kurasawa while in school.
