Tokyo Fanfare Orchestra (formerly known as Symphonic Fanfare Tokyo)
Formed in 2014 to commemorate the bicentennial of the birth of saxophone inventor Adolph Sax, the Tokyo Fanfare Orchestra is Japan's only professional fanfare orchestra featuring up-and-coming musicians.
The "fanfare orchestra" is a form of brass band music that developed mainly in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg. The orchestra is composed mainly of B-flat flugelhorn, E-flat flugelhorn (substituted by E-flat cornet), various saxophones, baritone, euphonium, and bass, which are saxhorn instruments invented by Adolf Sachs, and the brass section of an orchestra is added.
The soft and rich sound of the saxhorn fills the hall, sometimes sounding like an orchestra, brass band, or pipe organ, and will gently envelop your body.
