Snake in Kumamoto 2025

〜The Challenge of the New Snake

2025/12/06(sa.) 17:00 Starting

iori ShinobutakeKumamoto

Official https://www.mitsuki-serpent.jp/

This year marks the fourth year of "Hebi-no-Ne in Kumamoto".
This year is the year of the Snake, which means it is the year of Serpan!
The year 2025 will also mark the 12th year since Mitsuki Togane, the organizer of the festival, first encountered Serpan.
The theme of this concert is the determination to return to one's origins, to warm up the old, and to move into the future with renewed spirit. The concert will explore the possibilities of Serpan in all directions, starting from ancient music to the modern Serpan concerto composed in the 1980s. This year's concert will be held at two venues in Kumamoto City.
The pianist will be Mayumi Akahoshi, a Kumamoto resident who has shared the stage with various top artists from Japan and abroad, and the December 6 concert will feature Ai Komori, a euphonium player who also lives in Kumamoto.
We hope you will enjoy the gentle and tranquil tones of the Serpan, a precious instrument with only a few professional players in Japan, in a relaxed and leisurely atmosphere.
