Orchestra Sonore Nagano
The 45th Regular Concert in commemoration of the 25th anniversary
2025/11/09(su.) 14:00 Starting
HOKUTO Bunka Hall, Medium Hall (Nagano)
Official http://sonorenagano.web.fc2.com/
In celebration of its 25th anniversary, the Sonore will present a program unique to the Sonore.
The first half is Schubert's Symphony No. 4, subtitled "Tragic. At first glance, this may not seem like an appropriate choice for a commemorative concert, but what will the performance be like?
The second half of the concert will feature works by Nagano City's world-renowned composer, Kiyoshige Koyama. Chikuriko Uta" is based on one of Japan's oldest folk songs from Toyama Prefecture, and "English Horn and Blowing Band" is based on one of Japan's oldest folk songs. The orchestral versions of "Taegusa Uta" and "Hanamatsuri," known as "Music for English Horn and Brass Band," will be performed. The "Mole Chasing" has become a well-known encore piece of the Sonore, but this time the string part will be performed by a string ensemble based on the sextet version with flute, piano, and string quartet. Taikagura" is also a well-known brass band piece, but Mr. Shigeru Koyama, the eldest son of Kiyoshige Koyama, has provided the handwritten parts for the orchestral version, which will be performed for the first time in the world (presumably). Please enjoy this work based on the Kagura music of Hachiman Shrine in Chikuma City with a large orchestra. The main part of the program will be "Shinano Hayashi," Sonore's signature piece. Since its foundation, Sonore has been working with conductor Akira Kato on Kiyoshige Koyama's works. As an amateur group, we may not be technically proficient in some areas, but through our activities over the years, we are proud that we are the only ones who can express the sounds that Mr. Kiyoshige put in the score as "local sounds". We will prepare to deliver a performance worthy of a commemorative concert, so please look forward to it!
