Showa University of Music, Music Liberal Arts Course "The World of Music History Unofficial

The fourth installment of Showa University of Music's music education course "The World of Music History" will focus on the Russian National Music School and Tchaikovsky. Lecturer Kaori Yoneda explains the background and compositional techniques of Russian music that flourished from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century, using a wide variety of examples of works and abundant data. She will deeply explore the appeal of symphonies, concertos, ballet music, and other works from a historical perspective, providing time for new discoveries and contemplation for a wide range of audiences, from beginning students to music lovers.
