last part

Bunkyo Civic Hall, Small HallTokyo

Belle Fleur started with the idea of performing Mendelssohn's symphonies for strings from scratch, and this will finally be the last time. The program consists of Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 13 for Strings, Mendelssohn's Concerto for Violin and Strings, and Schoenberg's Purified Night.
The Symphony for Strings was composed by Mendelssohn between the ages of 12 and 14, and Bellefleur performed the entire work over a period of four years. This is the 13th in a series of experiences. Although it is short, we would like to perform it so that it will be a culmination of all our experiences.
This is also Mendelssohn's violin concerto, but it is not the one you may remember when you hear the name "Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto". The piece we will be performing is a concerto for violin and strings that Mendelssohn wrote when he was 13 years old. It is a wonderful piece that combines Mendelssohn's typical sequence of sounds, the imagination of a boy prodigy, and the classical style. The New Japan Philharmonic welcomes Eriko Sasaki, 2nd Violin Forespieler, as soloist.
Schoenberg's Purified Night will be the second performance for Belle Fleur.
The story changes from the tension of a dark night to the warmth of a loving heart. We hope to bring you Belle Fleur's love in sound.
