This is the 127th subscription concert of the Aoyama Gakuin Orchestra!
The Aoyama Gakuin Orchestra is the official student orchestra organization of Aoyama Gakuin University. Founded in 1954, the orchestra now has more than 100 members, and its basic concept is to "have fun in a serious way," and its activities are based on the philosophy of finding joy in the seriousness of music and the pleasure of creating music together. The AGO has invited various professors from the NHK Symphony Orchestra and other orchestras to serve as trainers for each part, and the group performs in a variety of musical activities, including biannual subscription concerts (Tokyo Opera City, etc.), an all-Aoyama Messiah lecture in December, and performances at degree conferment ceremonies. This year, for the first time as AGO, we will welcome Prof. Ryuichiro Ikariyama as conductor, and will present Tchaikovsky Symphony No. 5 along with masterpieces by Wagner and Glazunov. We are looking forward to seeing you at the venue.
