The 38th Ogikubo Music Festival Ogikubo Festival Orchestra 19th Regular Concert

2025/11/08(sa.) 13:00 Starting

Suginami Public Hall, Main HallTokyo

[Greetings.]
Our vision is to create a "local community centered on music", and we aim to create an orchestra with rich "Ogikubo colors" that everyone involved in the orchestra can enjoy.

The first half of the festival will feature two composers who will be performing for the first time with the orchestra. Mussorgsky's "One Night on Bald Mountain" and M. Bruch's Scottish Fantasy based on a Scottish folk song will be performed in the first half of the concert. The violin soloist will be Keisuke Tsushima, a well-known performer with the Ogikubo Youth Ensemble and other festival-related events, and the harpist will be Ritsuko Arima, who will perform with us for the first time in two years. Please enjoy the solo virtuosity of Ritsuko Arima, who will sing sweet and lyrical melodies to the fullest. The main piece in the second half will be Beethoven's Symphony No. 3 "Hero," which many of you are familiar with. The orchestra will take on the challenge of this large-scale work, which is filled with many new experiments and sets itself apart from the symphonies that have come before it.

We look forward to seeing you at the concert.
