What to listen to in the concert
　Music Director Norichika Iimori presents an intriguing program. The program will feature an ambitious work by Dai Fujikura (Japan premiere) and one of the most famous concertos and symphonies in the history of French music by Saint-Saens.
　The title of the work by Dai Fujikura, one of the most sought-after composers in the world today, is truly exciting, as is the list of co-commissioning organizations. This is sure to be a valuable experience. Saint-Saens' Cello Concerto No. 1 is second only to Dvořák's work as a representative work of the genre, but there are not many opportunities to hear it performed live, so this will be an excellent opportunity to experience its essence. The soloist, Haruma Sato, is one of the most talented young musicians of his generation, and his mellow tone and dense expression are more characteristic of his playing than his bombastic tone, which is very suitable for this piece, which has a clear and elegant atmosphere as well as technical skill. The "Symphony with Organ" is a work that Iimori, who was trained by the French master Jean Fournet when he was at Toho Gakuen, is looking forward to hearing his approach, and the sound of the pipe organ at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Space after its reopening is also attracting attention.
