Orchestra Zorky 2025 Concert

Orchestra Zorky was formed to perform Tchaikovsky's masterpiece "Manfred Symphony", which depicts a tragedy of fate and despair. This year marks the sixth year since its formation.
Starting with the "Manfred Symphony" featured in the inaugural performance, which was tossed around by the "natural disaster" of a direct hit by a typhoon, we will perform dramatic Russian music in 2021 and 2022 that exudes the sense of stagnation of the times due to the "plague", and in 2023 we will perform national music that questions the feelings of the "motherland" due to the expansion of the "war".
What then is the next destination for us, the Orchestra Zorky, which has chosen music that is a mirror of the year's circumstances in its annual concerts? Will we find new anguish and question the times? Will we think of further hope and the future?
The direction we have taken for our sixth concert is to remove the filter of "tuning in to the times" that we have been using for the past six years. For this concert, we have chosen pieces that are "typical of the times" and "not typical of the times," without being bound by the colors of the orchestra and the character of the group that we have built up over the past six years. The "typical" piece is "Snowstorm," which is full of the profound melody of Russian music, which is the original intention of the orchestra. The "Unlikely" are the "festivals" and "church sounds" that people have spun through their many lives, sometimes religiously, sometimes secularly, in the history from ancient times to the modern age.
When I packed the innocent "dream" that the orchestra members have for this orchestra, "I want to play this piece," the treasure chest took on this appearance. In these dark times when all values seem to be swallowed up in a whirlpool of chaos, music should at least be a luxurious treasure box, and this concert is filled with our desire to do so. While we say that we are out of "tune with the times," this may be another form of "tuning in to the times.
