Born in Kyoto City. Graduated from Kyoto Prefectural University Women's Junior College.
Studied piano under Misako Kono, Hiroko Sakurai, and Tomoko Takeda.
Attracted by the music of the 17th and 18th centuries, especially the sound of the harpsichord, she studied under Nakano Shinichiro.
She has studied harpsichord under Shinichiro Nakano, Emiko Iwabuchi, and Mayumi Ihata.
She won the first prize in the Early Music Division of the 22nd Osaka International Music Competition.
