Cello Ensemble Nakanoshima 4th Concert

Cello Ensemble Nakanoshima was formed in 2015, more than 30 years after graduation, by members who were members of the cello section of the Osaka University Symphony Orchestra (Osaka University Orchestra) in the 1970s and early 1980s. The name of the group comes from the fact that the practice place of the Osaka University Orchestra at that time was the former building of the Faculty of Science, which had been left behind in Nakanoshima 4-chome.

This year's concert, the fourth in the series, will feature Bach's Chaconne, a standard and difficult piece arranged for cello ensemble, as well as masterpieces by Pachelbel, Casals, and Sibelius, original arrangements with piano by members of the group, masterpieces by Saint-Saens and Azarashvili, and a medley of nostalgic pop songs. The program will also include a medley of pop songs by Saint-Saëns and Azarashvili.
